As I mentioned earlier this week, Fluevog was kind of enough to hook up customers with free dessert provided by The Sweets Truck. Running since last December, The Sweets Truck is a bakeshop and gourmet coffeehouse with one mission only—to provide customers with a sugar rush. Signature items include carrot cake cookies, Madame Chocolat handmade Belgian cookies and their popular red velvet cookies. (The culinary verdict, after the jump.)

Although the truck is usually stocked with a variety of treats (PB&J Sandwich Crispy Treat from Milk & Krunchies, truffles by Madame Chocolat, mini bundt cakes by Kiss My Bundt Cake), by the time we got there most people had wiped them clean. But what they did have was the tasty red velvet cookies that usually go for $3.75 each. This was pure heaven. If you love red velvet, then you’ll love this cookie. The filling was pretty rich. I suggest you buy some milk to go with it.
Most treats are priced under $5 with a portion of the proceeds donated to charity. You can also buy gift boxes (like the one pictured above) filled with old-school candy and their current selection. Follow the truck on twitter.
