I was generously invited to attend an afternoon of pampering at The Doves Studio in Santa Monica (2000 Main Street Unit B) on Saturday. Hosted by the fabulous LA-based blog Style Wax Poetic, the salon filled its bright orange beauty chairs with dozens of ladies, primping and prepping themselves for a Saturday night out on the town. Guests were treated to mini makeup makeovers by Lauren Dee, blowouts by The Doves Studio stylists, and a manicure bar by Gel FX. Some of the best summer products were on display as well, including sunglasses by R A E N Optics, jewelry from Caitlin Nicole, and AI For AI‘s new summer line of apparel. Summery cocktails and treats were provided by the delicious Stella Rosa Pizza Bar.

I received a voluminous, wavy blowout courtesy of master designer Melissa Felix and a dose of fresh, fun makeup by Lauren Dee – smoky eyes, bronzed cheeks and glossy coral lips. The beauty treat was perfect preparations for my Saturday night dinner plans!
