I finally (and happily) made it to men’s and women’s boutique Case Study Unholy Matrimony at 138-140 N. La Brea Avenue, just steps north of American Rag Cie. Owners Brett Westfall (designer of label Unholy Matrimony) and Amir Gharavi (designer of label Case Study) have outfitted the white space with a few key pieces—refrigerators-turned-shelving units, a row of vintage seating, multiple Icarus lights by Tord Boontje and Artenica, a fruit-baring tree illustrated at front, and a living wall of succulents at the back…. (The clothes, the jewelry, the prices and more images after the jump.)
Along with Westfall and Gharavi’s brands, designers and labels such as Hussein Chalayan, Peachoo + Krejberg, Sharon Wauchob, Comme des Garçons, Limi Feu, and lots of Maison Martin Margiela line the racks. In the window, Kris Vanassche booties are not f*cking around, neither are the Darcy Miro for Unholy Matrimony men’s jewelry pieces.
This is not someplace to swing by on a whim when you have an itch to shop however; here, tees run $140, tops range from $300-$600, shoes are $800 and up, dresses and jackets go for $1,000-plus. I browsed my heart out though… (More images on next page.)

I love this boutique!
Case Study Unholy Matrimony is INCREDIBLE. Their selection of clothing, jewelry, and art is unprecedented.
If you are in LA, this is the store you need to be at. Forget maxfield, mameg, or h lorenzo. case study beats everyone!
