Shops – Johnny Was at The Grove, Calling All Modern Gypsies

With a shop at Santa Monica Place, former wholesale manufacturer-turned-designer Eli Levite is expanding his Johnny Was label to The Grove this summer, sandwiched between Crate & Barrel and MAC Cosmetics. His embroidered, boho vibe is geared toward the “modern gypsy,” per the brand’s site. Expect printed, flowy dresses and tunics, eyelet, color sometimes saturated, sometimes faded as if by the sun. Prices range from around $78 for a scarf to $200-$300 for a dress… (A look at Johnny Was Pieces after the jump.)
