Thanks to Vital Juice, we hear about an inventive new yoga practice, Yogala, that’s opened up in Echo Park at 1840 Echo Park Avenue. The health-minded daily newsletter focused on a particular class, Vinyasa & Vino, which kicked off recently, in which you get to sip organic wine and nibble on snacks (such as truffle salt popcorn and artisanal cheese) after an hour-long flow class. But that’s not the only intriguing offering—there’s also yoga class geared for runners, Run, Yoga, Run, where you jog or walk a 30-minute loop together, then do an hour of yoga catered to a runner’s specific needs. Or there’s Vinyasa & Sound that allows practitioners to flow with healing vibrational sound, followed by a wine tasting with $5 donation. There’s a $25 for 3 classes introductory offer, or $12/class, $55 for 5 classes, $100 for 10 classes, or $100 for unlimited through the end of April, and then price goes up to $120.
