Why we like him: George Esquivel has been a known entity among celebs of all kinds (music, sports, entertainment) for years, as well as among LA lovers of superb footwear. Being a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award Finalist last year helped boost his status nationwide, and collaborations with the likes of Zero + Maria Cornejo, JC Obando, and Timo Weiland show the versatility of this man. Where are you from? I grew up all around Orange County and LA, but mainly in Orange County.
How long have you lived here? I have lived here most of my life
Where do you live in LA? I still live in Orange County, my showroom and most of my business is conducted in LA.
This place makes the best coffee/tea: I don’t drink coffee but Toast makes this really great drink with really different ingredients.
Coolest store: I have two favorites, Douglas Fir on West 3rd street, they have an amazing selection of jackets and shirts (I buy most of my jackets there). The other is A+R on Abbot Kinney in Venice, they have so many great items.
First three adjectives that come to mind when describing your neighborhood: The neighborhood of my showroom in LA is quaint, laid back, very cool.
Favorite LA artist: Rimi Yang
Best kept secret about your neighborhood: I have been told that my showroom is a well kept secret because it is not such an easy place to find.
When I need a time-out, I go to: The local hills and mountains and for a bike ride
