This is part reality, part fantasy. The reality is that I’m off to market quite often—farmers market, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, sometimes Bristol Farms or Monsieur Marcel, sometimes to gourmet varieties such as Joan’s on Third or Little Next Door (both so close!) or (like the other week) The Oaks Gourmet. I’m usually on foot, and, if necessary, in the car.
Everything else is a fantasy. How I would love to hop on a stylish bike (with basket, of course) for those longer distances or when time is tight! And I wanna look cute while riding—get me some daisy sunnies, comfy shorts, a whispery top, and rope-soled oxfords, and I’m good to go. I’d trade in my regular Post-Its for a proper to-do list and sharp-looking pen. And, if I am on foot, I need a carryall with a little personality, and some Bordeaux and a baguette to fill it!
